Odour, smell, pungency are no longer abstract concept and sensory perception has now been possible to be transformed into engineering specifications. Electronic nose & tongue consisting of a number of chemical, electrical, statistical / biologic engineering units are now commercially available. One of the most fascinating application is standardization of tea aroma and flavour based on selection of more appropriate or customized sensors and computational models using more volume of data and evolution of aroma scales for tea.
